Tesla's Cybertrucks finally landed at the end of November,Woman Who Does as Her Oppa Wishes (2024) and as well as being faster than Porsche 911s the giant, gleaming monstrosities also come with bulletproof doors and several different trims.

But there are some things they can't do, and one of those things is turn into a boat. At least, not yet.

"We are going to offer a mod package that enables Cybertruck to traverse at least 100m of water as a boat," Musk posted on X. "Mostly just need to upgrade cabin door seals."

Admittedly the sentence "mostly just need to upgrade cabin door seals" doesn't fill the heart with confidence, and when combined with the many delays the Cybertruck itself faced we can't imagine the Cyberboat is going to be seeing the light of day anytime soon.

Would having a car that briefly becomes a boat serve any practical purpose whatsoever? Almost certainly not, but then again practicality probably isn't top of the Cybertruck owner wishlist.
