Ford Mustang Mach-E and Mission XXX ImpossibleChangan Ford announced on August 1 that Changan Ford will officially take over Ford Mustang Mach-E’s operations in China starting from August 1. According to the statement, Changan Ford will authorize approximately 300 dealers to sell Ford Mustang’s electric vehicles (EVs) and expand its service network to cover 70 major cities in China, nearly tripling the previous number of its service points. Ford Mustang Mach-E was established in 2020 in China to develop Ford’s EV business in the country. In June 2023, the unit produced zero vehicles and sold only 77, with cumulative sales of 268 units in the first half of this year, an 84.6% year-on-year decline, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
